Welcome to PerpendicularFiction

A commemorative website where you’ll find many stories, photos, humorous reflections, and ditties generated by dsholloway.  In 2012, dsholloway stated. . .

“I write little stories because I find long works of fiction to be tedious.”

“Some of my little stories, labeled “Short Fiction,” are between 150 and 200 words. Other little stories of mine, labeled “Short Short,” are less than that. Some of my later “Stories” are rather wordy, indeed.”

“I feel that some of my stories aren’t very good, though. You’ve been warned.”

I have a little story featured here: http://postcardpoemsandprose.wordpress.com/2013/05/25/a-more-positive-outcome-by-david-holloway/

I liked the one short I just read quite a bit… we have nothing in common though. I can’t say “good morning” in under 300 words…

Thanks for stopping by, Trent. I appreciate your kind words on my most recent post. I try and try to write longer works but it seems yet out of my reach. I’d like to think that all of these little vignettes (or whatever they are) I write might coalesce one day into a mammoth novel….

Or maybe a few turn into a longer short story as you work your way up? I think I’ve heard of people doing it that way, finding connections between small pieces that weren’t immediately obvious. Anyway, best wishes to you.

Thanks for this great suggestion! I’ll keep at it and see what I can do.
And I must say, your own site is fantastic. And the layout is very savvy.

Oh thank you… my wife set it up for me, it used to be a cluttered junkpile but she’s good at this stuff. I’m just the writer dude in the corner, scratching himself.
